ZEBRA CROSSING: High School Teacher Knocked Down!

High School teacher AT River Valley  was knocked down by a van at a traffic crossing outside the school on Tuesday. Chemistry teacher Mrs Eileen Pua Jiu Er was crossing a road along Boon Lay Avenue at about 12.15pm when the accident occurred. 

Her husband, Mr Cynefrid Pua, said in a Facebook post that she has broken her ribs, among other bone fractures, and has a blood clot in her head. She is being treated at the National University Hospital. 

The 31-year-old teacher told Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao that she took her time to cross the road when the traffic light turned green, but was knocked down by a speeding car.

Police however, are presently investigating the case.
