ENTERTAINMENT: SHUGA Series Gets Artistes!!!

Nigerian artistes, Flavour, Sound Sultan, Chidinma and Kcee have been chosen to produce title tracks for the MTV Shuga series 3 set to premiere in November.

The artistes will produce the tracks in collaboration with South African Kwaito star, Professor.

The song titled ‘Sweet Like Shuga’, an upbeat Afro-Pop song co-written by the artistes and track producer Del B, talks about the temptations faced by young people and echoes some of the key storylines in the Shuga TV series.

To also work on the video is Nigerian music video director Clarence Peters, who will create the music video for ‘Sweet Like Shuga’, which will premiere exclusively on the channel in mid-November.

The cast for season 3 include Maria Okanrende, Tiwa Savage, Okezie Morro, Chris Attoh, Emmanuel Ikubese, Nick Mutuma, Dorcas Shola Fapson, and Leonora Okine.Others are Sharon Ezeamaka, James Timini Egbuson, Kachi Nnochiri, Olumide Oworu, Ugbeye Owumi, Sani Mu’azu, Bikiya Graham-Douglas, KC Ejelonu, Efa Iwara, Silo Emem Bankole and Charles Ukpong.

BET Award winner and rapper, Ice Prince, and pop star Iyanya are both playing cameo roles in the series with MTV VJ Ehis Okoeguale and Don Flexy.

Shuga is an award winning sex and relationships drama and multimedia campaign against the lack of awareness and misinformation about HIV, sexual responsibility and teen pregnancy among Nigerian youth.
