Chris Brown has been arrested and charged with felony assault in Washington, D.C., for allegedly punching a man in the face.
D.C Metropolitan Police confirm that the 24-year-old singer and a friend, believed to be his bodyguard, were arrested outside the W hotel on 15th Street at Pennsylvania Avenue at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Brown, who is still on probation following his 2009 arrest after assaulting his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, will be held until court on Monday when he can see a judge.
The controversial crooner has been involved in multiple scuffles since his 2009 arrest, where he plead guilty to a felony and accepted a plea deal of community labor, five years' formal probation, and domestic violence counseling. In June 2012, Brown was involved in a brawl with rapper Drake at the WIP nightclub in New York, but was not brought up on an formal charges.
